The admin co-op ‘runs’ Kebele with direction and oversight from the General Meeting. Here’s the collective’s statement about what they have been doing in the 3 months before the GM.

Update on members – Bod and Joe have left collective. Ali rejoined and left collective temporarily whilst he is away abroad..
We have a new website set up which is easier for any member to maintain.
Kebele have moved to using Crabgrass for all communications for a 3 month trial from 8/12/09. However we are still using Kebele email account for people to contact us.
Seeds for change training – 5/6 co op members had training in facilitation and consensus decision making. We have training planned at end Jan for delivering training to other groups on facilitation and consensus. We plan to offer this on a regular basis to new vols.
Policies and welcome pack have been updated. And there is a new procedure for organising and planning the general meeting.
We have new policies on how to deal with police, media and other agencies.
And a new fire policy and procedure and risk assessment have been agreed with training in the pipeline.
Bank signatories have been updated.
The co-op has agreed to keep two thousand in bank as reserve for emergencies etc.
The AGM was held – Tasha stood down as secretary, Maff stood down as treasurer and Ginny remained as chair. Secretary is now Maff and Treasurer is Bob.

The Art collective –has disbanded. Screen printing is not happening at moment.
There is a new Maintenance collective.
The drain in the yard has been repaired with a new inspection chamber added.
The welcome board put up over counter.
There are mice in the building. So remember to be careful to clean up after your selves. There is a plan to renovate the events room floor and to get rid of counter in front cafe to help eradicate mice hiding spots..
We have work days planned: deep clean and tidy Kebele Sat 13th Feb 10-1.

We have established activist group agreements to either pay for room use or take part in cook and a clean every 3 months. Collective involvement in co-op meetings was requested and some collectives are sending a rep to the co op meetings. A list of who has agreed to do what is on the office door. We are working on making co-op meetings more accessible to reps with help from their feedback and the training in consensus and facilitation.
Things are lively at Kebele with groups using the place including No Borders, Rising Tide, Bristol Anarchist Bookfair Collective, Greenpeace, Bristol Debtors Alliance,Yoga, Bristol Animal Rights Collective, to name just some of the regulars.
Events over the last few months have included:
The start of an anarchist discussion group.
The Kebele Christmas Gig and NYE do.
The first Kebele Radio broadcast.
And various films were shown at cafe nights as well as cafe events such as pizza punk day and ‘make hummus not war’.
